This project was aimed at developing a master plan for the entire property. The backyard design incorporated a tiered space with stepped planting to divide the two areas. The upper yard accommodated a pool, hot tub, cabana, outdoor kitchen and event lawn. The lower yard was a retreat which included a playground and fire pit for the family to enjoy. The front yard design included a large vehicular courtyard space and garden with an entry feature by the road. Since the dwelling is a restored heritage home, there were brief communications with the municipality to ensure that strict historic design guidelines and view shed were maintained in the landscape design. All components of this project were undertaken in consultation with Mark Setter Associates.
